Family owned and operated since 1895 Ackerman’s Furniture Service is the leader in fine furniture restoration. Being involved in furniture has always been a part of our lives. Our great great grandfather, Daniel Gephart, started a furniture business in Lakeville, Minnesota in 1895. In the 1940s, Ackerman’s continued this tradition by establishing the largest furniture showroom in the Midwest along Freeway I-494 in Bloomington. After leaving the retail industry, the next generation of Ackerman's transitioned into restoring furniture.
